The Proposal
For my 21st birthday, we decided to take a trip to Cancun just the two of us to spend some time on the beach and in relaxation. We arrived Monday night and relaxed. Tuesday we did the pool and beach thing...ate lots of good food and had some good drinks...Ryan kept acting weird throughout the day and he even threw up the night before...he only had one or two drinks so I thought that was strange but didn't think too much of it. We were getting ready to go to dinner and I kept asking him where my hairbrush was...he kept trying to steer me towards the bathroom..then he kicked me out of the room as I was walking out saying he forgot his wallet (all-inclusive..no need! weird...) and went back in the room. We started to walk towards the restaurant but then decided we would take a walk on the beach first since I was not hungry yet. There were some people on the beach so we moved further down to get alone time. It was dark where we stood and I could hear the waves crashing. We talked and he told me he had my b-day present and I had to jump in the ocean to get it. Which I almost did. But he grabbed me and said sweet somethings in my ear...I love you and I want to make us official...Then he got down on one knee...said ignore this part and pulled a ring box out of his pantS!!! (SO US! very goofy) He said "Will you marry me?" and he opened the box which lit up the entire beach and I saw the most beautiful ring! My Ring! I said "Yes of course" and cried...Don't know where that came from but I was so excited and happy and it was great! He did a great job! He picked it all by himself with some help from his momma...but it is the most beautiful ring and I love him for it!!!! It was one of the best moments of my life! We stayed on the beach for awhile and talked and he told me how he had to get the ring box out of his shoe where he hid it and how he couldn't fit it in his pocket without it being obvious. After that I ran around the beach and resort yelling "I'm engaged".....Love him! Now we will become husband and wife! I'm so excited and ready to walk down the aisle!
